Nature of the initiative
For My Benefit is a satirical personal-enrichment initiative. It is not a registered charity, charitable foundation, investment scheme, or regulated financial product. The institutional language and founder persona are editorial satire. Contributions are voluntary payments for the founder’s benefit. They do not purchase goods or services, create ownership, or promise a financial return. No charitable tax receipts are issued.
Campaign photographs and fictional statements of personal philosophy should be read as creative promotional material. They are not factual financial disclosures. Published financial records, when available, are separately identified.
Payment & refund policy
All displayed amounts are Canadian dollars. The founder retains discretion over pooled funds. Funding objectives are aspirations, not restricted campaigns or promises of specific purchases. This local preview cannot collect real money. Hosted processor test checkout requires test credentials. Live acceptance is blocked pending provider eligibility, owner configuration, and explicit activation approval.
One-time support is the default. Monthly support requires a separate choice and explicit authorization of the amount and frequency. Where enabled, cancellation is available through the provider’s hosted account portal. Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not automatically refund earlier payments.
A gift subscription is monthly personal support arranged in someone else’s name. The gift giver authorizes the payment, remains responsible for renewals, and controls cancellation. Claiming a gift acknowledgment never charges the recipient or transfers a payment obligation. No paid content, goods, or services are included.
Refund requests should be prepared through Contact the Office within 14 days with the payment reference. Requests are considered individually, subject to applicable law and provider rules. No card numbers should be supplied. An acknowledgment of payment is not a charitable tax receipt.
Privacy & retention
This public preview does not accept payments, create accounts, collect recipient details, or run application analytics. The following describes the private application features, which remain unavailable here.
Authenticated accounts use the Sites sign-in service. We receive a site-specific account identifier and email address. We store contribution records, optional display name, recognition and communication choices, and administrative audit history. Payment card information is collected by the hosted payment provider and is never stored here.
Gift records also store the recipient name and optional personal note supplied by the giver. They remain private to the giver and the recipient who claims the invitation after signing in. No recipient email is collected, and no invitation is sent automatically. Anyone holding an unclaimed invitation can claim it once, so the giver should share it only with the intended recipient. Creating a replacement invitation invalidates the previous unclaimed link. A claim does not authorize public recognition or messages.
Public recognition is off by default. Only an approved display name and recognition level can appear publicly, after affirmative consent and verified support. Email addresses, account identifiers, and individual payment records are never included in the public register.
Optional first-party analytics require permission and respect Do Not Track. Events contain page paths, broad referral labels, and funnel actions. No advertising cookies, payment-card data, full referrer URLs, or email addresses are collected in analytics. Returning-visit detection uses an optional last-visit timestamp stored on this device with analytics consent. You can change analytics permission with Privacy preferences.
Analytics events are retained for at most 90 days through the documented maintenance task. Unpublished draft correspondence remains on this device until you download it or leave the page; it is not transmitted. Payment and accounting records have a proposed seven-year retention period, subject to confirmation of the operator’s legal obligations. Account deletion requests withdraw recognition and communication consent immediately, and are reviewed to separate erasable profile data from financial records that must be retained.
Separately, Cloudflare Web Analytics records anonymous page views and page-loading performance on every page of this site. It uses no cookies or local storage and does not track individuals across websites.
The operator’s legal identity, privacy contact, service region, and final retention basis must be configured before public launch. No external email delivery is connected in this preview.
Terms of participation
Participation is entirely voluntary. Do not contribute funds you require for essential expenses. Adults capable of entering the applicable payment agreement may participate. Payment completion is confirmed only by verified provider events, not a return-page visit. Acknowledgments show only confirmed records belonging to the signed-in account.
Financial information is reported from recorded activity and may be corrected with an auditable adjustment. Editorial satisfaction assessments are humorous opinions. Nothing on the site is financial, tax, or legal advice. Applicable statutory rights are unaffected.
These are launch-draft terms. The actual operator must confirm the jurisdiction, business identity, contact information, and payment-provider model before they govern a live service.
Photography & records
The supplied founder portraits establish the identity of the beneficiary. The wide campaign image is AI-assisted promotional artwork based on the supplied references. It is not evidence of a hotel stay, dinner, purchase, or use of contributed funds.
Illustrative reporting specimens never enter the financial ledger. Actual expenditure publication requires a genuine transaction record and reviewed documentation. Receipt images must have names, addresses, card details, codes, and other private details irreversibly redacted before publication. Original private receipts are not public assets.
